COMPANY HISTORY
The Kerckhoff Ranch Co. was formed in July of 1962. The first shareholder meeting was held at 2405 Calle Capri San Clemente, CA on August 24 of that year. Those attending the meeting were the four original shareholders, George W. Kerckhoff, Elise Kerckhoff Prentice, Porter T. Kerckhoff, A. Philip Kerckhoff, and their spouses. At that first meeting, the four shareholders transferred their interests in the Huasna ranch located in San Luis Obispo County to the corporation. It was and continues to be the primary asset of the corporation.
The corporation leases the land to outside parties for cattle grazing. In the past, the land has also been leased for oil and gas exploration, but no significant oil discovery or production ever occurred. Over the years, the shares of the corporation have been distributed down through the gene
